Theory:
When I look at these lyrics I see sadness. I see his relationship with
Charlize. I see a life that is out of control, and not really what
Stephan had envisaged, and yet it is the life of a celebrity, and a
rock-star. So, what did he expect, he thinks, except that what he
really wants is her, and he's afraid. I seems he felt that this wasn't
going to work, aor maybe he wanted to be convinced it could. It appears
that what they had was their physical love more than anything, and that
love was more powerful than his desire for the goals he had set for
himself. Lying around, making love, sleeping with the dogs, aching for
one another, living for the conversations that reminded each other of
their commitment and wanting was stronger than his ambitions, except
that Stephan is a realist, and knew that this wasn't enough to carry him
through life, pay the bills, or even carry this relationship. It was a
catch 22. He had to be more to keep her, and to feel good about
himself. He had to keep working to be a success, but in doing that it
was driving him away from her, because she and he needed to be together
in order to keep it together. That was impossible, because she too
feared that she needed to keep driving in order to stay on top, and felt
like her time was limited to now. She couldn't just follow him, make
love, and make babies, or she would potentially be forgotten as well.
It is so sad. If only they could really trust in the power of their
love for one another. Maybe there is no such thing. Maybe love is
temporary, and then necessity, and loyalty, and responsibility to one
another take over, but maybe even within that becomes a different kind
of love that becomes more powerful than the physical longings, and then
again about the physical longings too. It doesn't have to stop.
Charlize and Stephan can become different, and more even if their not
celebrities. That can't last anyway. But, they can be closer, and help
each other with new ambitions.

Theory:
This is a man who is in awe of his luck or good fortune. He is in the
presence of sheer beauty and greatness.
He speaks to how quickly and far gossip and papparazzi can take someone.
Life changes in a moment. Yee Ha!
But watch out
Lives that are separate need reassurance and steamy phone conversations
can hold one for only a little while until the next encounter.
Winter suggests endings, and Summer flowers may mean it was at the stage
where growth may have meant rewards, but things ended before they were
reaped.
The experience was unique and will never be repeated.
His heart still skips a beat to see her, hear of her.
He hears his music. It fills him with delight, but is embarrassed by
his pride and pleasure.
He loves long involved romantic interludes
He hates the pretentiousness of the promotion and partys.
She's not like that.
But he must be careful not to insult this way of life.
He's so busy being part of this life, he forgets what he stands for and
what his mission was.
She's determined, and wants him to be with her, and he wants to believe
in forever, but is it forever?
He is only what he maintains, not what he was.
In feeling insecure we reveal ourselves, which makes us feel
unattractive and unworthy, and sometimes we stop being the pillar, and
that breaks us in a relationship that is already fragile
He was protective, and could predict what was in the future.
She feels urgency
He sees more to her than what she is now
There is too much to juggle
He's watched his world rule him, and it's too late
She's tough.
It's over.

I don't have anything too detailed to say, but IMHO this song is so
obviously about Charlize and their break-up. It's kind of sad, but at
the same time it seems like it has a "never been so alone, and I've
never been so alive" feel to it.

I think this song is about Stephan's relationship with Charlize. It is
obviously about a movie star that he has had a relationship with. The
first lines bring to mind Charlize, "I can't believe it Those sapphire
eyes Brilliant girl with the famous thighs And the cameras flash and
then we are stars We're laughing in the back of chauffeured cars"
The song is about a an ill fated romance with a movie star that couldn't
last because the two people, Charlize and Stephan, were married to their
careers. He can only look back and wonder where she went, " Where did
you go now?"

(This is an awesome song, the music is stellar! TOny is awesome!!!)
I think the concept of this song is pretty simple. The negativity of
fame catching up and affecting a person. Fame has taken this person out
of control and took over their life without them knowing it. Where did
you go> and is this my life? are constant themes. The person just
realizes that the celebrity life style has taken over and maybe they
realize that it has taken them out of control. It is so sureal. This
cant be my life, butit is.

i think that Stephan Jenkins is speaking of how the demon of being
famous and being such a rock idol and all you forgetwho you really are.
like when he speaks of the L.A parties in thephony lands and the bony
grabsstalking about the new rock life style and he is saying he fogets
himself the old self, and he brings out the point of still sleeping with
the dogs in the bed and that he is still him self and fame and idols are
not changing him. and all the beginning with the the laughing in the
back of chauffered cars and the cameras are flashing, like speaking of
the media taking pictures of the famous star, figuratively speaking
Stephan Jenkins. and the thought when he says well thats not my life
well maybe it is. saying he doese not know how is he suppossed to live.
but at the end when saying he would change this song now if he could in
the sleekness of your blood he is speaking of if he could change this
song but he can not put the things he really wants to put.

" i can't believe it those sapphire eyes, brilliant girl w/ the famous
thighs..."
this is about his (gorgeous) ex love Charlize theoron. i saw 3eb in
concert and he said the song was about how he was falling apart last
summer, a.k.a forgetting himself. he didn't say te reason behind it, but
i read the lyrics and know they broke up around that time so isn't
pretty obvious?
