Jenkins told LAUNCH about the band's plans. "We're building a studio in San Francisco so that we can really do things totally and completely on our own terms, which is always sort of our obsession in this band," he said. "I've got this old Helios board that was used on some of the old Rolling Stones sessions, so it's got this amazing pedigree. I think we're going to make the best record we've ever made. I'm just feeling cool again, man."
Third Eye Blind released Blue in 2000, the follow-up the band's multiplatinum 1997 self-titled debut, which featured the hit "Semi-Charmed Life."
BREATHE, set for October 27 at the Greek Theater
in Los Angeles, will feature the Deftones, Crazy Town, Liz
Phair, Run-DMC, Third Eye Blind, Nikka Costa, Julia
Fordham, Sugar Ray, Pete Yorn, and others. The funds are
earmarked for the UCLA Breast Center and the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Breast
Cancer Examination Center of Harlem.
