What
began as an elegantly sleepy cocktail party at Foreign Cinema
Monday evening, quickly evolved into a buzzing hoo-ha with the
arrival of pop music's young statesmen, the brothers Hanson.
How did Isaac, Taylor and Zac come to stand
on a heated patio in the Mission at a party for KQED's film
show "Independent View"?
Let's say it together: Stephan Jenkins. (He's been turning
up more often than Don Johnson these days!)
If you haven't seen the
"Independent View" advert screening in Landmark
Theaters, Mr. Third Eye Blind figures prominently as a cocky
rocker dissing filmmakers. He apparently had a meeting with the
Oklahoma hit-making teens earlier in the evening at Toast
Studios and brought them along to crash the party.
Though the triple blond
threat provided a lovely random element to the party, it will be
during "I.V.'s" second season that the stars will really
come out.
On the slate in the upcoming months are interviews with Julian
Schnabel, Ang Lee, Allison Anders, Spike Lee
and documentary king Albert Maysles, to name but a few.
