Hmmm. Wonder who's stalking Stephan Jenkins and the boys of Third Eye Blind. An ex-something perhaps?
Fans of Third Eye Blind were to be treated to a secret show in San Francisco next Wednesday (Feb. 13), but, according to a message posted by the band on its official Web site (www.3eb.com), its "stalker" found out about it, forcing its cancellation. "We had to cancel our secret show," reads the message. "We have been doing these to try out new material, but because you -- people we love to play for -- found out about it, that means our stalker found out about it too, and the lack of security at the smaller venues makes it impossible to avoid the love knife (see Tenacious D). We will try and play again sometime and we hope you are in on the secret." Although the stalker was not identified, word on the street points to a certain fellow musician who is currently in a legal battle with the band. But who knows... In other 3EB news, the band's ongoing legal battle with ex-guitarist Kevin Cadogan (allstar, Dec. 8, 2000) goes to trial in U.S. District Court in Oakland, Calif., on Feb. 25. |
